milan: day two.

Our second day in Milan was spent acting like complete tourists. So be warned, this post is going to be very picture heavy. We started the day off with gelatos and sat by a fountain on Piazza Fontana.

We had planned to rent bikes and cycle around town but decided against it last minute and went on a tour bus. As it was about 20 degrees the open topped bus was perfect for seeing the sights.

 Sforzesco Castle.

Views from the terrace on the Duomo di Milan.

In the afternoon we had a guided tour of the Duomo di Milan. It is absolutely breath taking from the outside and the inside doesn't disappoint. It is well worth a visit if you are in Milan, and its free entry. We also got the chance to venture to the terrace at the top of the Duomo. The views from up here are beautiful and its so much more peaceful compared to the square below.

We finished the day with having a meal down at the canal along with a litre of wine (When in Milan..) and obviously more gelato.
